Basilio Justin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Guedes in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Agostinho Guedes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Basilio Justin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aurelio Kiliz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Agostinho Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Justin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Justin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gildo de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. 卡納里尼奧 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basilio Justin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dionisio Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonatan Felipo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Marinho. That made the score 1-3 in the 38 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Guedes in the 46th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Basilio Justin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agostinho Guedes to make the kick off. Agostinho Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Basilio Justin made a huge save.
