The referee ignored Red John S.K's protests and gave Benjamin Braga a yellow card for diving instead. Santiago Gabirel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 3rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Inocencio Jokin sped through Red John S.K's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Severino Aguiar. In the 10th minute Israel Montae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilmar Berger during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nilmar Berger hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Red John S.K's Nilmar Berger got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Inocencio Jokin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Severino Aguiar firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Paulo Zonta in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Acosta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Red John S.K fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Red John S.K's Luís Paulo Zonta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Amboy FC's Santiago Gabirel got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Nilmar Berger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evelio Acosta skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Luís Paulo Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red John S.K's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Paulo Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Red John S.K's Severino Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Jokin in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Nilmar Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Severino Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Pasqual, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Red John S.K getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Paulão Falcão hit a great ball. Severino Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Severino Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Montae in the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, Amboy FC's Evelio Acosta got control of the ball when Reginaldo Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Pasqual came free, but Severino Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Amboy FC defense, Luís Paulo Zonta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evelio Acosta. The Amboy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evelio Acosta should have stopped the shot. Red John S.K's Luís Paulo Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Red John S.K's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
