A collision led to Latocayteva F.C. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Federico Reyes hit a great ball. Apolo Rius was a little too slow when Marcial Munio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. Apolo Rius made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Paulino Lamberto sent off a good shot on target. San Martin de Tucuman were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Latocayteva F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anastasio Amesti took the corner. 14 minutes into the match, Marcial Munio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Rius. Latocayteva F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcial Munio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Cecilio Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Misael Darroja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Misael Darroja came free, but Cecilio Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cecilio Jax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Misael Darroja, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Misael Darroja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cecilio Jax read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Cecilio Jax didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Misael Darroja went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Misael Darroja came free, but Cecilio Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Latocayteva F.C.'s Josue Casanova managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Effiong Adebiyi in the 38 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Misael Darroja in the 42nd minute of play forced San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Jax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Misael Darroja in the 44th minute of the match. San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Darroja in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Misael Darroja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Latocayteva F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Misael Darroja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Marcial Munio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Rius having to interfere. San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save San Martin de Tucuman from getting a goal against them. After 59 minutes San Martin de Tucuman's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Federico Reyes who took care of the corner kick. Apolo Rius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Osoitz in the 64th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Latocayteva F.C.'s Misael Darroja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cecilio Jax narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Latocayteva F.C.'s Gilberto Petrigai was substituted for Carles Artadi. After taking down the ball on Latocayteva F.C.'s corner Gilberto Petrigai fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cecilio Jax quite easily take care of the ball. San Martin de Tucuman's Eugenio Orland was substituted for Luciano Selmo. San Martin de Tucuman's Paulino Lamberto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Federico Reyes, made in the 87th minute of the game. Eugenio Orland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Rius having to make a save. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Martin de Tucuman's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Federico Reyes was slow to take the kick. During this time Latocayteva F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Latocayteva F.C.'s corner Federico Reyes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cecilio Jax quite easily take care of the ball. Latocayteva F.C. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though San Martin de Tucuman had controlled the match.
