The supporters of ARAPONGAS booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Selatse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Kann in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, ARAPONGAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niels Eglin to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when ARAPONGAS's Miroslav Gehrig fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Americo Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Caponi in the 25th minute of the match. Miroslav Gehrig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Jonas Tauro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Americo Fiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Ricart in the 39th minute of play forced ARAPONGAS's goalkeeper Americo Fiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Jonas Tauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Fiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Americo Fiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Tauro in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonel Caponi to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Robert in the 57th minute of play. ARAPONGAS were furious when Henry Hoch was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 60 minutes into the game, one of ARAPONGAS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, Club Atlético Escocia's Justin Tello got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Americo Fiz. In the 69th minute, Miroslav Gehrig made a precise shot to the right of Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. Club Atlético Escocia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 84 played minutes Club Atlético Escocia got a freekick which was hit by Justin Tello. Justin Tello hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, Jonas Tauro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Americo Fiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Americo Fiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Tauro in the 94th minute of play. Leonel Caponi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Americo Fiz made a huge save. Tibor Brandt's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Escocia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tibor Brandt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ARAPONGAS getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Tibor Brandt hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atlético Escocia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
