Brazil were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saulão Chettle took the corner. The corner led to Brazil's Moisés Santana getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Vaz in the 11th minute of play forced Brazil's goalkeeper Isaac Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin da Fonseca came free, but Przemyslaw Tscherner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Benjamin da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute Saulão Chettle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Przemyslaw Tscherner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Przemyslaw Tscherner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Isaac Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Mandrak in the 26th minute. Isaac Ferreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Moisés Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brazil's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Przemyslaw Tscherner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gugu Mandrak succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Brazil's Leandro Heidemann was substituted for Tonhão Rodrigues. Brazil's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
