Cláudio Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timos Karagiorgos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Heiki Karus kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Cláudio Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Timos Karagiorgos having to make a save. If Cláudio Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, AEK Lamia club's Timos Karagiorgos got control of the ball when Cláudio Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeu De Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktoras Mavrakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18thth minute of the game Manolis Karaiskakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Milfontes United's Romeu De Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Milfontes United booed when AEK Lamia club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyriakos Nikolatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolis Karaiskakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu De Sousa having to interfere. Cláudio Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. AEK Lamia club's Timos Karagiorgos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Baicu in the 38th minute of play. Raul Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Manolis Karaiskakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Romeu De Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viktoras Mavrakis was the one to do the kick off. David Meira's late challenge caught a AEK Lamia club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu De Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cláudio Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timos Karagiorgos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cláudio Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Manolis Karaiskakis could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Romeu De Sousa however easily saved by the left post. Cláudio Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Milfontes United's Cláudio Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timos Karagiorgos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK Lamia club's goalkeeper Timos Karagiorgos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Milfontes United getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Heiki Karus hit a great ball. The AEK Lamia club fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when AEK Lamia club's Viktoras Mavrakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 89th match minute, Milfontes United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Milfontes United's goal looked a bit too open when Viktoras Mavrakis came free, but Romeu De Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AEK Lamia club played a much better game than Milfontes United and deserved their victory. The Milfontes United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
