Milfontes United's Romeu De Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktoras Mavrakis in the 6th minute of play. When Milfontes United's Felix Baicu in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AEK Lamia club's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12th minute Milfontes United were awarded a corner. Heiki Karus went to the cornerflag to take it. Romeu De Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Romeu De Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manolis Karaiskakis in the 25th minute of the match. Jorge Macedo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match Viktoras Mavrakis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeu De Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Miltos Skarbatonis came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the AEK Lamia club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miltos Skarbatonis couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Milfontes United's Aloísio Raposo got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Manolis Karaiskakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK Lamia club's supporters rose to their feet, but Manolis Karaiskakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu De Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Timos Karagiorgos managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Milfontes United's Felix Baicu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Milfontes United getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cláudio Montenegro hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Baicu in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timos Karagiorgos saved AEK Lamia club from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, AEK Lamia club's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Baicu came free, but Timos Karagiorgos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeu De Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktoras Mavrakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Manolis Karaiskakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in AEK Lamia club's zone, Felix Baicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timos Karagiorgos came out of the goal and Felix Baicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot by Viktoras Mavrakis from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Romeu De Sousa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 88th match minute, AEK Lamia club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adamantios Kabitsis to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Baicu in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timos Karagiorgos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Milfontes United's Romeu De Sousa got control of the ball when Manolis Karaiskakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Baicu in the 96th minute of play forced AEK Lamia club's goalkeeper Timos Karagiorgos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AEK Lamia club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
