Zebolla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugues Delas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Viviano Presilla kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Felix Baux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, one of Chaponnay FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chaponnay FC. The goalkeeper, Pierre-Antoine Joron, was totally fooled by Zebolla FC's Emeterio Lejobeitia, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 48 minutes, Felix Baux mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaponnay FC and the Zebolla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felix Baux hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timo Trigueros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Felix Baux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Zebolla FC got a freekick which was hit by Savier Orue. In the 61st minute of the match, Felix Baux tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luis Candura saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mickaël Gamet hit a great ball. Farid Walch hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Savier Orue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chaponnay FC made a substitution. Thierry Rouge replaced Farid Walch. In the 70th minute, Marin Geslin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Candura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Baux in the 73rd minute of play. When Felix Baux came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Chaponnay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Baux couldn't finish the play. Chaponnay FC's Célestin Guégan got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viviano Presilla kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Marin Geslin hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Savier Orue in the 90th minute of play forced Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Pierre-Antoine Joron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marin Geslin came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Chaponnay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Geslin couldn't finish the play. Chaponnay FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
