CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Cícero da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melquiades Amor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francis Curtis in the 21st minute of the match. Aristides Briso hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Ramirez in the 27th minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Melquiades Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Briso's late challenge caught a CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Briso helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cícero da Costa in the 29th managed to get into a good position. It was a well-played corner which Rodney Renwick managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 41st minute of the match Len Woolford sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melquiades Amor skillfully saved the ball. After 44 minutes, Cícero da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA and the Corinthians FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Len Woolford was slow to take the kick. During this time Corinthians FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Corinthians FC's Francis Curtis to fire away a dangerous shot which Melquiades Amor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 68th play minutes Niceto Ramirez shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Melquiades Amor and just under the crossbar into goal. 75 minutes into the game, Niceto Ramirez lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Melquiades Amor. Torstein Stenseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute.
