Zackery Lander in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rafa Pires, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silas Barbosa in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brookes Mapps saved London reds from getting behind. After a rather tough play, London reds's Calvin Holdsworth got a free kick in the 7th minute. Eddy Coburn hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes, Niterói FC's Noel Sanches shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brookes Mapps came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Niterói FC reached it. 17 minutes into the game, Niterói FC's Ciro Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brookes Mapps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silas Barbosa in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brookes Mapps saved London reds from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Zackery Lander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafa Pires. Niterói FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zackery Lander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 32 minutes into the match, Niterói FC's goalkeeper Rafa Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ben Barling. Silas Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, Niterói FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Rafa Pires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Byrne Fallen's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Silas Barbosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Niterói FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Zackery Lander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rafa Pires firmly grabbed it by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Byrne Fallen made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Niterói FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Neto to maneuver through the defense. Bert Rishton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafa Pires. Niterói FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Sanches in the 54th minute of play forced London reds's goalkeeper Brookes Mapps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Silas Barbosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brookes Mapps, 3-3. In the 62nd minute, Silas Barbosa made a precise shot to the right of Brookes Mapps. London reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Brookes Mapps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Sanches in the 66th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Niterói FC's Geovani Bezerra made it 3-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brookes Mapps was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in London reds's zone, Silas Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brookes Mapps came out of the goal and Silas Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silas Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brookes Mapps having to make a save. In the 77th minute, Lenílson Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Niterói FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Byrne Fallen scored 5-6 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafa Pires, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Remy Blattman made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Niterói FC's Abel Neto. Rafa Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zackery Lander went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-6 was the resulting score. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
