After having played for 7 minutes, Derry Glen Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyvoneen Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derry Glen Crowe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Bert Rishton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 minutes, Harvey Dunne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballyvoneen Utd and the London reds players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ballyvoneen Utd getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Harvey Dunne hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Ballyvoneen Utd defense, Byrne Fallen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Todd. The Ballyvoneen Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Todd should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Ballyvoneen Utd booed when London reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corey Boston didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ballyvoneen Utd fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Ballyvoneen Utd's Keeghan Duggan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute, Ballyvoneen Utd's Brenan McOliver seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Brenan McOliver the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ballyvoneen Utd protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Brenan McOliver had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ballyvoneen Utd! The referee gave London reds a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bert Rishton, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballyvoneen Utd's Gil Todd. 1-2. The supporters of London reds booed when Ballyvoneen Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ballyvoneen Utd's Rorke McBjarton got a free kick in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, London reds's goal looked a bit too open when Keeghan Duggan came free, but Brookes Mapps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keeghan Duggan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Brookes Mapps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Ballyvoneen Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harvey Dunne to maneuver through the defense. Brookes Mapps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keeghan Duggan in the 41st minute of play. In the 47th minute, Thom Harkin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brookes Mapps. The goal made the score 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Byrne Fallen to strike the kick off in the second half. Gil Todd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for London reds. After 64 minutes of play, Ballyvoneen Utd's Keeghan Duggan made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brookes Mapps was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, London reds's goal looked a bit too open when Keeghan Duggan came free, but Brookes Mapps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 minutes, Corey Boston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the London reds and the Ballyvoneen Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72ndth minute of the game Keeghan Duggan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but London reds's Brookes Mapps was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Ballyvoneen Utd's goalkeeper Gil Todd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zackery Lander. After a defensive mix-up in London reds's zone, Saoirse Tracy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brookes Mapps came out of the goal and Saoirse Tracy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Brook Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballyvoneen Utd's Gil Todd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Ballyvoneen Utd from getting a goal against them. Brookes Mapps didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keeghan Duggan went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ballyvoneen Utd fans cheered their team off the field, for while London reds had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
