The supporters of Yusufeli JK booed when Niterói FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Yağızalp Şinas came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Yusufeli JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yağızalp Şinas couldn't finish the play. Silas Barbosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ziya Onur Baysungur came out and tried to block the shot, but Silas Barbosa slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yusufeli JK's zone, Silas Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ziya Onur Baysungur came out of the goal and Silas Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Niterói FC's Luisinho Abraão got a free kick in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Başar Koyak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yusufeli JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Başar Koyak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafa Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Niterói FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tolunay Toktimur came free, but Rafa Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silas Barbosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silas Barbosa hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ziya Onur Baysungur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silas Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Silas Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ziya Pekdemir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rafa Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niterói FC's Rafa Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Niterói FC from getting a goal against them. Geovani Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziya Onur Baysungur having to interfere. Silas Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 89 minutes into the match, Niterói FC's goalkeeper Rafa Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yağızalp Şinas. Ziya Onur Baysungur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Barbosa in the 91st minute of play. After 92 minutes, Silas Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niterói FC and the Yusufeli JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Niterói FC got a freekick which was hit by Silas Barbosa.
