Utku Veysi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Brookes Mapps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Afşin Doğanhan came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Mudanya Altai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afşin Doğanhan couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Mudanya Altai's Timur Korkutalp got a free kick in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zackery Lander got free with Mustafa Haydar Bayram in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afşin Doğanhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brookes Mapps having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Utku Veysi was the one to do the kick off. The nice shot from Afşin Doğanhan in the 60thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Brookes Mapps had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Mudanya Altai's Mustafa Haydar Bayram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Byrne Fallen in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Utku Veysi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brookes Mapps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. London reds's Brookes Mapps proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save London reds from getting a goal against them. Afşin Doğanhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brookes Mapps. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brookes Mapps was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute Utku Veysi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brookes Mapps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
