The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziya Pekdemir in the 3rd minute of play forced Cottonport's goalkeeper Ryan Chu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ziya Pekdemir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Chu having to interfere. Casey Anderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ziya Onur Baysungur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Yusufeli JK's Yağızalp Şinas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ryan Chu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 16th minute, Yağızalp Şinas made a precise shot to the right of Ryan Chu. Cottonport's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ryan Chu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yağızalp Şinas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 25th minute, Ziya Pekdemir made a precise shot to the right of Ryan Chu. Cottonport's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Cottonport's Ryan Chu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziya Pekdemir in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Yağızalp Şinas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yağızalp Şinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casey Anderson was the one to do the kick off. Yusufeli JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yağızalp Şinas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Yusufeli JK's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Anderson came free, but Ziya Onur Baysungur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Yağızalp Şinas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Cottonport's Shelton Landrum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ziya Onur Baysungur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee ignored Yusufeli JK's protests and gave Cabbar Oray a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yusufeli JK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Cottonport a penalty, 100 minutes into the game. The Yusufeli JK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
