In the 6th minute, Cottonport's Quintin Sykes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind 韩树镇. 韩树镇 yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 10th minute, 俞军伟 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cottonport's zone, 俞军伟 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ryan Chu came out of the goal and 俞军伟 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 许锋明 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ryan Chu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shelton Landrum got free with 韩树镇 in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 俞军伟 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, 巩晨锋 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 云南玉溪热火队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 巩晨锋 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cottonport's Quintin Sykes got a free kick in the 37th minute. 朱飞鸿 charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 俞军伟 in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ryan Chu saved Cottonport from getting behind. Lane Castle made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Casey Anderson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
韩树镇 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Benitez in the 50th minute of the match. In the 52nd minute Shelton Landrum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 韩树镇 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, 云南玉溪热火队's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Anderson came free, but 韩树镇 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If 许锋明 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, 云南玉溪热火队's 俞军伟 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Ryan Chu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 俞军伟 went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute, Casey Anderson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cottonport fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. After a rather tough play, 云南玉溪热火队's 许锋明 got a free kick in the 89th minute. After some careless play in the Cottonport defense, 俞军伟 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ryan Chu. The Cottonport fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ryan Chu should have stopped the shot. Cottonport's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
