Augusto Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mauro-Facundo Buffon made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Augusto Cordario sent off a good shot on target. Florian Capasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Couto came free, but Teodosio Sergi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Bolt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Capasso in the 51st minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrinho Paranaense couldn't finish the play.
