Agus Young struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Lucio Afonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Lucia de Merlo. M. Agus Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Afonso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute, M. Agus Young left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Lucia de Merlo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If M. Agus Young had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucio Afonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from M. Agus Young in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half Santa Lucia de Merlo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and M. Agus Young made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Pika in the 51st minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Norberto Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. M. Agus Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Afonso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes TALLERES DE CBA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Levan Poggenborg who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Santa Lucia de Merlo booed when TALLERES DE CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Bernard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucio Afonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Polo Quinteros in the 94th minute. The Santa Lucia de Merlo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
