The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Pesqueira City's Benjamin da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Benjamin da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin da Fonseca in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres Ekhi saved Ricart Futebol Clube from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Sakarias Fernkvist in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ricart Futebol Clube's Geovânio Gerber. In the 36th minute, Anísio Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Sebastião Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pesqueira City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pesqueira City's Mădălin Lunca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Ramalho in the 57th minute of play. Mădălin Lunca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doron Bantz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Gerber in the 64th minute of play forced Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Mădălin Lunca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, Ricart Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Olisadebe to maneuver through the defense. Pesqueira City made a substitution. The Pesqueira City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8. Andres Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin da Fonseca in the 96th minute of the match. Pesqueira City played a much better game than Ricart Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Ricart Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
