The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ECS FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Ree was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 13th minute Asmund Rundkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bøje Dyssen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikki Askhim hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's goal looked a bit too open when Asmund Rundkvist came free, but Bøje Dyssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match ECS FK got a corner. Monks in Robes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlinhos Trancoso ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in ECS FK's zone, Rikki Askhim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Borubar came out of the goal and Rikki Askhim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, ECS FK's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Ree came free, but Arturo Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes ECS FK got a freekick which was hit by Phil Naylor. In the 32nd minute, Axel Ree left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monks in Robes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Bøje Dyssen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quin Camaño in the 35th minute of play. Emanuel Browall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bøje Dyssen having to interfere. Monks in Robes's Nestor Solera managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vali Ivăncioiu in the 43 minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asmund Rundkvist was the one to do the kick off. When Asmund Rundkvist fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ECS FK's protests and gave Asmund Rundkvist a yellow card for diving instead. Asmund Rundkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Arturo Borubar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Ree in the 53rd minute of the match. Arturo Borubar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albinus Alking in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ECS FK's Carlinhos Trancoso got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute of the match Fidel Havier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arturo Borubar skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Browall in the 62nd minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Bøje Dyssen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Axel Ree notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of ECS FK's Arturo Borubar. Arturo Borubar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ECS FK made a substitution. Davis Damasceno replaced Quin Camaño. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Bøje Dyssen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arturo Borubar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Ree, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 87 played minutes ECS FK got a freekick which was hit by Vali Ivăncioiu. Arturo Borubar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Ree, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monks in Robes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
