Leonello Messias ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonello Messias might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lev Yashin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Lagrima en Jarrita's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Naelio came free, but Loco Malo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonello Messias in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lev Yashin saved Argentina from getting behind. Lagrima en Jarrita made a substitution. Dalmacio Llorian replaced Leonello Messias. In the 62nd minute Roman Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loco Malo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Gregory took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loco Malo. Loco Malo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Argentina made a substitution. Loco Durazno replaced Abelardo Perutxo. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Llorian in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Gregory in the 77th minute of play forced Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Loco Malo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lagrima en Jarrita's Loco Malo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Gregory in the 78th minute of play. The Argentina players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Lagrima en Jarrita from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
