Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Reginaldo Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 minutes, Eustaquio Gerazan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Red John S.K players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Gerazan. Basilio Justin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes of play, Red John S.K's Christian Monteiro made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Justin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Braga during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Braga to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Donatellos short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Basilio Justin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Monteiro to make the kick off. Luís Paulo Zonta's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Paulo Zonta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 50th match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Zonta to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the game, Red John S.K's Christian Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basilio Justin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 63rd minute, Nilmar Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sílvio Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Red John S.K booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Paulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Basilio Justin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Donatello in the 81st minute of play. Basilio Justin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Zonta in the 85th minute of play. Christian Monteiro succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. Red John S.K's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
