The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramiro James to make the kick off. Villa La Perla's Delmar Machado quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Färhad Cämilov, made in the 52nd minute of the game. Pelle Maradona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sergio Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adan Bembe came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by April 25 SC's Ren Xi Chen. But to his dismay, Ren Xi Chen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. April 25 SC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Villa La Perla's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ren Xi Chen took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in April 25 SC's zone, Pelle Maradona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Romero came out of the goal and Pelle Maradona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Villa La Perla's Erubiel Gaitan was substituted for Hugo Jago. April 25 SC made a substitution. Benito Marques replaced Ionel Zărnescu. April 25 SC's Sergio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Maradona in the 75th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Modesto Playo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adan Bembe made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ren Xi Chen sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Pelle Maradona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergio Romero was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Adan Bembe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ren Xi Chen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 89 minute of play. Villa La Perla's Cristobal Paez was substituted for Pelle Maradona. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched April 25 SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
