The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marian Gniech. Marian Gniech yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 11th minute, Jan-Åke Fransson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Ceberiche was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Witomir Jestrimski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marian Gniech having to make a save. Zagórna's Marian Gniech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Sha in the 21st minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Uluç Tekinalp put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zagórna fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Ricardo Ceberiche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Åke Fransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cordero Aberasturi made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zagórna's Florian Kapinos. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Witomir Jestrimski made a kick off.
