The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hlégestur Sveinbjörnsson helped the player get up and apologised. Hlégestur Sveinbjörnsson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 9 played minutes Piratas FC got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Hernandez. If Constantino Idacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute Piratas FC were awarded a corner. Nunez Hernandez went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Piratas FC's Nunez Hernandez to fire away a dangerous shot which Sebastían Valdsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tandur's Oddfreyr Bragason got a free kick in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Tandur's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Hernandez came free, but Sebastían Valdsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Mar Þórhallsson made a precise shot to the right of Raimond Lenk. Piratas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Guðbjartur Hálfdánsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimond Lenk. Piratas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guðbjartur Hálfdánsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Constantino Idacio came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Piratas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Idacio couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oddfreyr Bragason during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Tandur got a freekick which was hit by Oddfreyr Bragason. Baldomero Birjaio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sebastían Valdsson. Tandur's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39thth minute of the game Nunez Hernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tandur's Sebastían Valdsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Piratas FC's Constantino Idacio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastían Valdsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute Haddur Vilhelmsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 45 minutes, Nunez Hernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Hernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haddur Vilhelmsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Piratas FC's Constantino Idacio got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastían Valdsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Hernandez in the 56th minute of the match. When Piratas FC's Nunez Hernandez in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tandur's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastían Valdsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nunez Hernandez's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Tandur's Sebastían Valdsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Lidon in the 66th minute of play. Hagbarður Gunnsteinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Piratas FC's Spyros Zacharioudakis was substituted for Nunez Hernandez. Sebastían Valdsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Spyros Zacharioudakis's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. When Piratas FC's Spyros Zacharioudakis in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Spyros Zacharioudakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastían Valdsson was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Piri Vangioni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Tandur defense, David Cordarius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastían Valdsson. The Tandur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastían Valdsson should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Piratas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tandur had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
