The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, CRUZ DEL SUR's Pan Lin Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Peli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 12th match minute, La Bichineta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dariusz Motyl to maneuver through the defense. If Bautista Marcó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvestre Peli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Lin Zhen's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Arnaldo Pirmin made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CRUZ DEL SUR's Wu Hong Fei. Wu Hong Fei hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Silvestre Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Lin Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to La Bichineta getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Sun Yuan Zheng hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pan Lin Zhen in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvestre Peli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hauk Hareide took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zachariasz Dudkowski. Zachariasz Dudkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Pan Lin Zhen might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvestre Peli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pan Lin Zhen ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvestre Peli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Lin Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half CRUZ DEL SUR were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hauk Hareide was the one to do the kick off. Silvestre Peli made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Pan Lin Zhen sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Pan Lin Zhen could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Silvestre Peli however easily saved by the left post. Zachariasz Dudkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hauk Hareide in the 67th minute of the match. CRUZ DEL SUR's Fabio Zorondo was substituted for Ronnie Odell. In the 71st minute of the game Pål Säv made a throw-in which Dariusz Motyl played forward. Zachariasz Dudkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Abancens in the 72nd minute of play. Silvestre Peli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Estefan went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Silvestre Peli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Estefan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Bichineta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Eustacio Antonucci scored to the left of an out of position Silvestre Peli, making the score, 1-4. Silvestre Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Estefan, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the match was over CRUZ DEL SUR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Bichineta throughout the match.
