After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria FC's zone, Fotis Melas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Bonifaco came out of the goal and Fotis Melas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Marquez in the 4th minute of play forced Lipochσrion FC's goalkeeper Panagiotis Kissas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lipochσrion FC's Panagiotis Kissas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Olof Sjöberg in the 6th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Lipochσrion FC got a freekick which was hit by Pantelis Mamidakis. After recieving a nice pass, Candelaria FC's Marciano Lekubegi tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute Arnaldo Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panagiotis Kissas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fotis Melas came free, but Tomás Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lipochσrion FC's Panagiotis Kissas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Pellen in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Lipochσrion FC's Necat Baysal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 31st minute, Bart Pellen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Candelaria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fotis Melas in the 34th minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Tomás Bonifaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lipochσrion FC's Panagiotis Kissas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Pellen in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Olof Sjöberg in the 42nd minute of play forced Lipochσrion FC's goalkeeper Panagiotis Kissas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candelaria FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marciano Lekubegi in the 43rd minute. Candelaria FC's Tomás Bonifaco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Candelaria FC from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fotis Melas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Candelaria FC got a freekick which was hit by Sabastian Rodriguez. After 54 minutes of play, Lipochσrion FC's Fotis Melas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Bonifaco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iraklis Akrivakis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Candelaria FC's Okanalp Özdil was substituted for Sven-Olof Sjöberg. In the 60th minute, Iraklis Akrivakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Okanalp Özdil could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Panagiotis Kissas however easily saved by the left post. Timoteo Michael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Panagiotis Kissas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Christian Gómez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panagiotis Kissas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panagiotis Kissas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Gómez, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Panagiotis Kissas made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Okanalp Özdil sent off a good shot on target. Panagiotis Kissas had great luck who in the 73rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Antonio Alzamendi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With an all-out effort, Candelaria FC's Panagiotis Kissas threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christian Gómez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pantelis Mamidakis hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Panagiotis Kissas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gregorio Elixio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 85 minute of play. Tomás Bonifaco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Brzakala, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Lipochσrion FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Candelaria FC had controlled the match.
