Ni Le Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montrel Perpiñán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Montrel Perpiñán in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ni Le Zheng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder got control of the ball when José Carlos da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. AC Batán's Ni Le Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 10th minute of play. Mike Zoetmulder was a little too slow when Acácio Nogueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ni Le Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias de Ruijter in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Mathias de Ruijter made a precise shot to the right of Ni Le Zheng. AC Batán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Acácio Nogueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. AC Batán's Ni Le Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montrel Perpiñán in the 29th minute of play. Mike Zoetmulder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Nogueira in the 30th minute. If Acácio Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of De Pelgrims booed when AC Batán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Serapio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huub Gerrits fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ni Le Zheng having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st minute, Acácio Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Batán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Acácio Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Mike Zoetmulder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Batán. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huub Gerrits in the 57th minute of play forced AC Batán's goalkeeper Ni Le Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, AC Batán's Ni Le Zheng got control of the ball when Jan-Peter Kloppenburg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ni Le Zheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huub Gerrits in the 64th minute of play. Herman Craandijk made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AC Batán's Enzo-Nicolás Perez. After 71 minutes of play, AC Batán's Konrad Wielkopolski made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mike Zoetmulder was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Huub Gerrits got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute of the match AC Batán got a corner. De Pelgrims's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gong Feng ran over to the corner to take the kick. AC Batán's Cido Cardozo was substituted for Acácio Nogueira. The corner ended in Cristoforo Di Ruscio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathias de Ruijter during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Mathias de Ruijter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Di Ruscio in the 81st minute of play. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Cardozo in the 86th minute of the match. Cido Cardozo scored 4-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Zoetmulder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Herman Craandijk hit a great ball. Herman Craandijk hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Cristoforo Di Ruscio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
