Seating: 107, VIP seats: 9) Sabino Telinhos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kristmundur Þorkelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duarte Horta in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Flink Kópaskeri's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Duarte Horta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Soffanías Emilsson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Bento Vilarinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sabino Telinhos came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the SC Farense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabino Telinhos couldn't finish the play. Kristmundur Þorkelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Vilarinho in the 19th minute of play. SC Farense's Duarte Horta got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Flink Kópaskeri's Hersir Vilmarsson got a free kick in the 21st minute. Duarte Horta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristmundur Þorkelsson having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Flink Kópaskeri's Soffanías Emilsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Palmiro Gusmão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 32 played minutes SC Farense got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Santana. Soffanías Emilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the game, SC Farense's Marcelo Cabral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristmundur Þorkelsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Palmiro Gusmão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdór Orrason, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Marcelo Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Kristmundur Þorkelsson made a huge save.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Soffanías Emilsson was the one to do the kick off. Duarte Horta struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Kristmundur Þorkelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Farense. After 52 played minutes Flink Kópaskeri got a freekick which was hit by Arnljótur Jafetsson. With a little luck, SC Farense's Palmiro Gusmão got control of the ball when Valdór Orrason tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute, Gustavo Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duarte Horta in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristmundur Þorkelsson saved Flink Kópaskeri from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Sabino Telinhos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristmundur Þorkelsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 73rd minute Sabino Telinhos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristmundur Þorkelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes SC Farense got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Santana. Flink Kópaskeri's Valdór Orrason got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Flink Kópaskeri's zone, Sabino Telinhos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristmundur Þorkelsson came out of the goal and Sabino Telinhos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristmundur Þorkelsson came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Farense's Bento Vilarinho. But to his dismay, Bento Vilarinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When Arnljótur Jafetsson fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flink Kópaskeri's protests and gave Arnljótur Jafetsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute of the match Alexandre Damásio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristmundur Þorkelsson skillfully saved the ball. Kristmundur Þorkelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Horta, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Farense had played much better football throughout.
