A well-hit corner resulted in Samy Hakeem heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mazhar Ismail's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doru Vădan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mazhar Ismail kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doru Vădan. That made the score 4-0 in the 29 minute of play. Club Sportiv Scolar's Doru Vădan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdel Wahab Fadel in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Club Sportiv Scolar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Smarandache to maneuver through the defense. Doru Vădan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mazhar Ismail went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Doru Vădan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 44 minutes into the game, Mazhar Ismail cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Doru Vădan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Costică Iorgovan to strike the kick off in the second half. Abdel Wahab Fadel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Doru Vădan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Club Sportiv Scolar's goal looked a bit too open when Mazhar Ismail came free, but Doru Vădan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Bolton Wanderers's Mazhar Ismail sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doru Vădan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Mazhar Ismail put it in 9-1 from a short distance just to the right of Doru Vădan. Doru Vădan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazhar Ismail, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Abdel Wahab Fadel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doru Vădan having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barakat Fathy during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute Mazhar Ismail shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doru Vădan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazhar Ismail in the 94th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Scolar's goalkeeper Doru Vădan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
