After taking down the ball on AEK S.C's corner Alfaro Meo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vidal quite easily take care of the ball. Jelte Bleiswijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vidal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jelte Bleiswijk in the 19th minute of play forced Los kyes's goalkeeper Julio Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adama Traore came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Los kyes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adama Traore couldn't finish the play. Julio Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco de Andrade in the 30th minute of play. AEK S.C were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Los kyes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alfaro Meo took the corner. The corner ended in Jelte Bleiswijk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los kyes's Julio Vidal did a great save. Julio Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelte Bleiswijk in the 36th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match AEK S.C got a corner. Los kyes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfaro Meo ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nderim Pepo to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Los kyes's goal looked a bit too open when Donzel Goyeneta came free, but Julio Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adama Traore in the 53rd minute of play. Los kyes made a substitution. Quirze Vera replaced Ronaldão de Amaral. When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, AEK S.C's Thomas Papatrechas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Julio Vidal. In the 81stth minute Iker Quintin beautifully dribbled past AEK S.C's defense and it looked for a moment as a certain goal, but Thanasis Koltsidas pulled off a phantom save to prevent the ball from scoring on his left hand side. AEK S.C's Nektarios Tsagarakis was substituted for Jelte Bleiswijk. Los kyes made a substitution. Laurgain Jorquera replaced Adama Traore. In the 84th minute Los kyes were awarded a corner.
