After some careless play in the SAPRIMECKBEL defense, Reiner Fallas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Mora. The SAPRIMECKBEL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Mora should have stopped the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Ruiz to make the kick off. He walked away shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in SAPRIMECKBEL's zone, Jorge Luna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Mora came out of the goal and Jorge Luna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Mora didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Luna went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. After 92 minutes, Gabirel Caceo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAPRIMECKBEL and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes SAPRIMECKBEL got a freekick which was hit by Gabirel Caceo.
