In the 26th minute Henrique Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Vitin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Naike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Naike came free, but Hansjörg Wastl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Henrique Borges put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Elpidio Vitin. With a little luck, Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin got control of the ball when Henrique Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henrique Borges was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Edu Carvalho sped through Vélez Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elpidio Vitin.
