Emanuele Madaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mato Špišić in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, ternana calcio fc's goalkeeper Emanuele Madaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mesut Özil. If Will Alderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Miguel Almiron fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenbay's protests and gave Miguel Almiron a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Greenbay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Almiron to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Mesut Özil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Emanuele Madaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emanuele Madaio came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Greenbay's Miguel Almiron. But to his dismay, Miguel Almiron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 31 minutes, Fausto Stumpo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ternana calcio fc and the Greenbay players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes ternana calcio fc got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Stumpo. Amancio Indartsu charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amancio Indartsu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Greenbay booed when ternana calcio fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Indartsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pawel Golanski struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Emanuele Madaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greenbay. Emanuele Madaio made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Miguel Almiron sent off a good shot on target. Amancio Indartsu was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to ternana calcio fc getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Amancio Indartsu hit a great ball. After 44 minutes of play ternana calcio fc's Fausto Stumpo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Will Alderson took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuele Madaio. Emanuele Madaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Orrore to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Miguel Almiron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Emanuele Madaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the ternana calcio fc defense, Mato Špišić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuele Madaio. The ternana calcio fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuele Madaio should have stopped the shot. ternana calcio fc's Emanuele Madaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mato Špišić in the 71st minute of play. Emanuele Madaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Alderson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Will Alderson took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuele Madaio. Emanuele Madaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Tyler Morton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Almiron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Emanuele Madaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Tyler Morton made a precise shot to the right of Emanuele Madaio. ternana calcio fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Armando Orrore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Eugen Remus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
