Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manfred Rudqvist started the match with the kick off. Bruno Martini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xie Shu Tian in the 9th minute of the match. Manfred Rudqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denílson Leão having to make a save. Roberto Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bruno Martini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Freek Tamminga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Luca Schroeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denílson Leão made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Joachim De Jonghe sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Ľubomír Timčo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Denílson Leão, 1-0. Pecém's Arnaldo Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão de Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simão de Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pecém booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xie Shu Tian was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicuşor Nebunu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Ibon Obeso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pecém's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ibon Obeso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnaldo Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Martini having to interfere. Bruno Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Arnaldo Antunes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Denílson Leão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joachim De Jonghe went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Bruno Martini was a little too slow when Nicuşor Nebunu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pecém players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Manchester United FC.
