An unexpectedly hard shot by Zosimo Vadillo in the 29th minute of play forced Orihuela Club de Fútbol's goalkeeper Daniel Sbârcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Fernando Manzano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Van Damme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Daniel Sbârcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Birila in the 36th minute of play. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Vinicio Revuelta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Silvestre Roland in the 42 minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fernando Manzano made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Papillon AC's Florin Lopatnicu got a free kick in the 50th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Fernando Manzano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jean Van Damme, 1-1. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Dominic Toretto was substituted for Álvaro Sampil. Orihuela Club de Fútbol made a substitution. Vladimiro Figueira replaced Fernando Manzano. 71 minutes into the game, Silvestre Roland threw the ball into play from the sideline. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Vinicio Revuelta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Daniel Sbârcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zosimo Vadillo in the 83rd minute of the match. If Vladimiro Figueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Birila in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Sbârcea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Papillon AC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
