After a rather tough play, VASCO DA GAMA's Giovani Simões got a free kick in the 8th minute. Matheus Guerreiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Recai Keçeli. VASCO DA GAMA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Seixas in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Recai Keçeli saved VASCO DA GAMA from getting behind. Recai Keçeli was a little too slow when Gil Seixas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Recai Keçeli made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Gil Seixas sent off a good shot on target. Gil Seixass short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Recai Keçeli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Helge Vallander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Recai Keçeli having to interfere. Cláudio Gonçalves hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Gil Seixas scored 2-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Recai Keçeli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. MILAN F C's Eduardo Revuelta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Branco in the 32nd minute of play. Gil Seixas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Recai Keçeli made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MILAN F C fans cheered their team off the field, for while VASCO DA GAMA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
