MIT's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Gertsyk in the 8th minute of play. Florin Seremet made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Barcelona Lassa's Radamel Falcao. In the 19th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Fil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danil Saveliev kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match FC Barcelona Lassa got a corner. MIT's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tobiasz Dubiel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Theo Fil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Anton Gertsyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Ananov hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Gertsyk made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Caramarin in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Fil saved FC Barcelona Lassa from getting behind. Theo Fil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute of the match MIT got a corner. FC Barcelona Lassa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mihăiţă Ilarie ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led MIT's Mihăiţă Ilarie to fire away a dangerous shot which Theo Fil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Theo Fil came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Caramarin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alex Balotă made in the 67th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tiberiu Caramarin immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the FC Barcelona Lassa defense, Florin Seremet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theo Fil. The FC Barcelona Lassa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Fil should have stopped the shot. Calistrat Madgearu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 77 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Feliu came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MIT made a substitution. Bogdan Bucataru replaced Mihăiţă Ilarie. Romeo Gherghescu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. FC Barcelona Lassa's Tobiasz Dubiel got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, MIT's David Tunander dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Tiberiu Caramarin got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by David Tunander. Theo Fil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of MIT booed when FC Barcelona Lassa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimierz Merski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Caramarin in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Fil saved FC Barcelona Lassa from getting behind. The MIT players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
