Damazy Joks started the match with the kick off. Laureano Guipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Nicolas Hemeleers might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Arendarski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Hemeleers ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Patryk Zukowski got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Roman Kon fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's protests and gave Roman Kon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Kon to maneuver through the defense. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Fabian Arendarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hektor Fitrakis in the 12th minute of play. KS Olimpia Warszawa were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damazy Joks took the corner. In the 19thth minute of the game Damazy Joks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Fabian Arendarski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. KS Olimpia Warszawa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Damazy Joks in the 20th minute. A nice corner shot did that Damazy Joks got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabian Arendarski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goal looked a bit too open when Damazy Joks came free, but Fabian Arendarski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Manta in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Botescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of KS Olimpia Warszawa booed when Zagłębie Dąbrowskie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Manta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Damazy Joks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute Damazy Joks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Arendarski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Gigel Botescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save KS Olimpia Warszawa from getting a goal against them. Grzegorz Jankowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gigel Botescu having to make a save. Fabian Arendarski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damazy Joks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Manta made a kick off. Fabian Arendarski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sharma Sharma in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KS Olimpia Warszawa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
