The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fariz Nair showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 19th minute, Stefan Lewicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Roman Kon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Krawczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gao Wei Fei in the 89th minute of play forced Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Fabian Arendarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
