With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rainer Marthaler in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Betadur saved LA DEL MONO from getting behind. Vince Easton scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robustiano Calvet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute, Rainer Marthaler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CA Juventud Unida's Robustiano Calvet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save CA Juventud Unida from getting a goal against them. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Petrigai in the 12th minute of play. Fabio Betadur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saverio Petrigai went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robustiano Calvet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LA DEL MONO were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after CA Juventud Unida's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rigoberto Cordareo took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Higinio Botello heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Fabio Betadur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Iyan in the 25th minute of the match. The throw-in from Erubiel Txomin in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LA DEL MONO's Edelmiro Paskal. In the 31st minute, Vince Easton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robustiano Calvet. The goal made the score 2-1. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Iyan in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vince Easton in the 38th minute of play forced CA Juventud Unida's goalkeeper Robustiano Calvet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the CA Juventud Unida defense, Vince Easton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robustiano Calvet. The CA Juventud Unida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Calvet should have stopped the shot. Erubiel Txomin made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by LA DEL MONO's Edelmiro Paskal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Petrigai in the 45th minute of play forced LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Fabio Betadur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Rigoberto Cordareo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Rainer Marthaler made the kick off in the second half. Rainer Marthaler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Betadur having to make a save. Rainer Marthaler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Fabio Betadur skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Iyan in the 59th minute of play forced LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Fabio Betadur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the LA DEL MONO defense, Braulio Iyan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Betadur. The LA DEL MONO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Betadur should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Saverio Petrigai recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabio Betadur. Saverio Petrigai showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Rainer Marthaler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Betadur having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Rainer Marthaler rounded LA DEL MONO's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-4. Vince Easton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th minute Vince Easton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Calvet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robustiano Calvet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vince Easton went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. LA DEL MONO's Layne Saron was substituted for Esteban Criston. CA Juventud Unida made a substitution. Jeremias Medina replaced Braulio Iyan. LA DEL MONO's Betinho Falcão was substituted for Vince Easton. After 85 minutes, Rainer Marthaler made it 4-5 with a short kick to the right side. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Robustiano Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Falcão in the 88th minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, LA DEL MONO's Betinho Falcão made it 5-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robustiano Calvet was left in no man's land by his defense there! The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
