José Luis Heidemann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Baxter in the 6th minute of play. Rigoberto Piearres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gianluigi Buffon having to make a save. Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Piearres in the 7th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duda Vergílio during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. Gianluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pancu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute, Barry Baxter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rigoberto Piearres scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gianluigi Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, La Zorro Negro's José Luis Heidemann got control of the ball when Artur Buczko tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Diguinho Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Zorro Negro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diguinho Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gianluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Buczko in the 43rd minute of play forced La Zorro Negro's goalkeeper José Luis Heidemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gianluigi Buffon came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by La Zorro Negro's Rigoberto Piearres. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Piearres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half La Zorro Negro were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

José Luis Heidemann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Buczko, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitor Roque in the 58th minute of play forced La Zorro Negro's goalkeeper José Luis Heidemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes, Barry Baxter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ and the La Zorro Negro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Pancu got free with Gianluigi Buffon in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, La Zorro Negro's goal looked a bit too open when Vitor Roque came free, but José Luis Heidemann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Vergílio made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Artur Buczko. In the 69thth minute of the game Arnaldo Alsua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Zorro Negro's José Luis Heidemann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Alsua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Luis Heidemann was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. The Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Arnaldo Alsua looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to La Zorro Negro getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Marcelinho Cavalcante hit a great ball. Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Albertinho Cavalcante was substituted for Vitor Roque. After a rather tough play, La Zorro Negro's Marcelinho Cavalcante got a free kick in the 77th minute. The referee gave Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arnaldo Alsua, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of La Zorro Negro's José Luis Heidemann. 2-2. Gianluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Piearres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asmund Nyvold during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Asmund Nyvold got a free kick in the 84th minute. Albertinho Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, La Zorro Negro's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Cavalcante came free, but José Luis Heidemann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Arnaldo Alsua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Heidemann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diguinho Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. José Luis Heidemann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Alsua went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.

For all the effort they put into the match, the La Zorro Negro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ.
