Glen Conklin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lu Zhen Sheng having to make a save. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Glen Conklin went to the cornerflag to take it. If Koča Kafarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lalo Rosas got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tio Lio. Koča Kafarov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 51st minute, Tio Lio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremy Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Koča Kafarov in the 54th minute. Oscar Nordmark made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tio Lio immediately put the ball in play. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Paulo Jon was substituted for Elpidio Curcio. New England Minas's Zachery Church was substituted for Roman Major. 69 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldemar Cardozo. In the 75th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in New England Minas's zone, Waldemar Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal and Waldemar Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremy Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldemar Cardozo in the 79th minute. After 81 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Tony Pacheco. Tony Pacheco hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Waldemar Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 84 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Ye Gang Cheng. Oscar Nordmark got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Arturo Sito. The throw-in from Oscar Nordmark in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by DREAM TEAM WORLD's Betinho de Queirós. Waldemar Cardozo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremy Nicholas having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldemar Cardozo got free with Jeremy Nicholas in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oscar Nordmark hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 93 minutes of play, New England Minas's Arturo Sito made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lu Zhen Sheng was left in no man's land by his defense there!
