Casette's Alberto Marchegiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Dyrstad in the 5th minute of play. Kristen Gulskov made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Ercole Scandella sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute of the match Casette got a corner. FK Dampsaga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Achille Toccaceli ran over to the corner to take the kick. Beppe Bomba made a great header on Casette's corner, it was just that FK Dampsaga's Kristen Gulskov managed to reach the ball for a save. Gunnar Dyrstad took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Marchegiani. Alberto Marchegiani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Casette booed when FK Dampsaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Bøhler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, FK Dampsaga's goalkeeper Kristen Gulskov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ercole Scandella. With his leg Kristen Gulskov managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Casette's Alessandro Coscia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute Gunnar Dyrstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Marchegiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristen Gulskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Scandella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes FK Dampsaga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Achille Toccaceli who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Achille Toccaceli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FK Dampsaga's Kristen Gulskov did a great save. 32 minutes into the match, Casette's goal looked a bit too open when Eilif Stavrum came free, but Alberto Marchegiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FK Dampsaga defense, Alessandro Coscia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristen Gulskov. The FK Dampsaga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristen Gulskov should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute of the match, Achille Toccaceli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kristen Gulskov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alessandro Coscia scored 2-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristen Gulskov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessandro Coscia made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Casette's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Dyrstad came free, but Alberto Marchegiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristen Gulskov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Coscia in the 56th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Alessandro Coscia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristen Gulskov was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Achille Toccaceli struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Kristen Gulskov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casette. Casette's Alberto Marchegiani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Casette from getting a goal against them. Kristen Gulskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Coscia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Dampsaga's goalkeeper Kristen Gulskov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Dyrstad in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Marchegiani saved Casette from getting behind. Eilif Stavrum kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Casette's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Bøhler came free, but Alberto Marchegiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute FK Dampsaga were awarded a corner. Morten Førland went to the cornerflag to take it. When Casette's Alessandro Coscia in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Dampsaga's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to FK Dampsaga getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Eilif Stavrum hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Casette's Beppe Bomba got a free kick in the 94th minute. FK Dampsaga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
