The corner led Chaján's Donato Goiano to fire away a dangerous shot which Saul Erauso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Blanco in the 19th minute of play forced Atlético Unión Florida's goalkeeper Saul Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Melquiades Blanco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saul Erauso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 21 minutes into the game, Elder Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. But to his dismay, Melquiades Blanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Galindo in the 96th minute of play forced Atlético Unión Florida's goalkeeper Saul Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Atlético Unión Florida supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlético Unión Florida would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
