Thomas Vollmar might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kyriakos Matsikidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Vollmar ran back to his position shaking his head. Pankracy Malicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyriakos Matsikidis having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Thomas Vollmar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kyriakos Matsikidis was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Kyriakos Matsikidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pankracy Malicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Thomas Vollmar made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Kolopetinitsa's Kyriakos Matsikidis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Thomas Vollmar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kyriakos Matsikidis was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Vollmar in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kyriakos Matsikidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Obuchowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Thomas Vollmar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kyriakos Matsikidis having to make a save. Thomas Vollmar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diogenis Kastras kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Kyriakos Matsikidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adam Pacholewski went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kyriakos Matsikidis. That made the score 0-5 after 53 minutes of play. Thomas Vollmar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Kyriakos Matsikidis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pankracy Malicki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kyriakos Matsikidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Kolopetinitsa's Kyriakos Matsikidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Kolopetinitsa from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute of the match Newcastle United got a corner. Kolopetinitsa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo Zonta ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Thomas Vollmar put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Kyriakos Matsikidis.
