Salvador Ortega yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Lautaro L.P.'s goalkeeper Salvador Ortega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabinho dos Santos. The supporters of Lautaro L.P. booed when Club Athletico Paulistano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Pelé. Ezequiel Mineiro's late challenge caught a Lautaro L.P.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Athletico Paulistano getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ezequiel Mineiro hit a great ball. Reşit Beyan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Acácio Lara having to make a save. In the 93rd minute, Andolín Echeandía left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lautaro L.P. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Acácio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damián Angulo in the 98th minute of play. Club Athletico Paulistano's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
