The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Calvin Townsley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thomas Rix. Calvin Townsley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Laziali's Thomas Rix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Townsley in the 8th minute of play. If Delyan Súrnev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Abeijon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rusi Chaushev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rusi Chaushev in the 17th minute of play forced Ampthill FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Abeijon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calvin Townsley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Rix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Orhan Ortanca charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orhan Ortanca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Orhan Ortanca hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Laziali's Thomas Rix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Laziali from getting a goal against them. Thomas Rix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calvin Townsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calvin Townsleys short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Thomas Rix to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ampthill FC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Laziali's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alvino Serre took the corner. The corner led Ampthill FC's Russ Blacknell to fire away a dangerous shot which Thomas Rix despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Calvin Townsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Rix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Townsley, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Calvin Townsley took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Rix. Thomas Rix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Ampthill FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Fitz Pickard hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Calvin Townsley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ampthill FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rusi Chaushev got free with Bernardo Abeijon in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitomir Piralkov came free, but Bernardo Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Rix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, Calvin Townsley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ampthill FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Thomas Rix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Calvin Townsley went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the game, Calvin Townsley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Thomas Rix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laziali's Thomas Rix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Townsley in the 84th minute of play. Min Jaeger kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Bernardo Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delyan Súrnev, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ampthill FC had played much better football throughout.
