After 7 played minutes Sakura Storm got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Juniors. The audience thought a goal was coming when Batıhan Alatay got free with Zakir Novruzov in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Kuva-yi Milliye's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Carriedo came free, but 许昆昂 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Carriedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 许昆昂. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Carriedo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute, Severino Carriedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sakura Storm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Carriedo in the 21st minute of play forced Kuva-yi Milliye's goalkeeper 许昆昂 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Kuva-yi Milliye's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Juniors came free, but 许昆昂 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match Sakura Storm got a corner. Kuva-yi Milliye's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marvelous Ronaldinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. 许昆昂 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Carriedo in the 30th minute of play. 许昆昂 came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sakura Storm's Vinícius Juniors. But to his dismay, Vinícius Juniors quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sakura Storm's Marvelous Ronaldinho got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Severino Carriedo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sakura Storm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Carriedo couldn't finish the play. Severino Carriedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. 许昆昂 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Sakura Storm were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Osman Nuri Unat hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Zakir Novruzov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osman Nuri Unat in the 53rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Sakura Storm's 许昆昂 threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vinícius Juniors, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl-Oskar Odman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 许昆昂. That made the score 0-3 in the 58 minute of play. 许昆昂 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Carriedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Sakura Storm's Marvelous Ronaldinho to fire away a dangerous shot which 许昆昂 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Severino Carriedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Severino Carriedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 许昆昂. The goal made the score 0-4. 74 minutes into the match, Kuva-yi Milliye's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Carriedo came free, but 许昆昂 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
