Geraldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xande Cachorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Rockets's goal looked a bit too open when Xande Cachorro came free, but Geraldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Xande Cachorro managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo da Floresta's supporters rose to their feet, but Xande Cachorro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. São Paulo da Floresta's Rony Pena was substituted for Xande Cachorro. After 14 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Valério Peres. Geraldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 21st minute Rony Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geraldo Queiroz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rony Pena's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Rockets defense, Denver Volante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Queiroz. The Rockets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Queiroz should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Rony Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geraldo Queiroz was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Geraldo Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Rony Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geraldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Rony Pena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Geraldo Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rony Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Geraldo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Pena in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maximiliano Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Maximiliano Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geraldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Pena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geraldo Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Rony Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rockets's zone, Rony Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Queiroz came out of the goal and Rony Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rony Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geraldo Queiroz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rony Pena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 66 minute of play. In the 72nd minute Maximiliano Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 76 in the game by Rony Pena from a close distance when the talented Geraldo Queiroz managed to make a qualified save. Rockets's players were relieved. Rony Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 78 minutes into the match, Rockets's goalkeeper Geraldo Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rony Pena. A collision led to Rockets getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Joélson Melo hit a great ball. Geraldo Queiroz was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Maximiliano Pardo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maximiliano Pardo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Pardo in the 87th minute of play. After some careless play in the Rockets defense, Rony Pena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Queiroz. The Rockets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Queiroz should have stopped the shot. After 93 minutes of play, São Paulo da Floresta's Rony Pena made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geraldo Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded São Paulo da Floresta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rockets.
