Cengiz Bozbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Eneko in the 5th minute of play. Des Bancroft charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Des Bancroft the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Des Bancroft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfredo Eneko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC LIVERPOOL booed when Lions Of Turks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sadri Fidan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, FC LIVERPOOL's Boguslaw Hoffman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 32nd minute, FC LIVERPOOL's Andrew Pringle seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Andrew Pringle the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC LIVERPOOL protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Andrew Pringle had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to FC LIVERPOOL getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Andrew Pringle hit a great ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Çetin Özdoru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions Of Turks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çetin Özdoru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arif Burak Erengüç blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Thompson having to make a save. Gino Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfredo Eneko to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes in the game, Wilfredo Eneko fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cengiz Bozbey having to interfere. Sylwester Zima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC LIVERPOOL's Ed Sills was substituted for Sylwester Zima. FC LIVERPOOL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ed Sills in the 62nd minute. Ed Sills made a great header on FC LIVERPOOL's corner, it was just that Lions Of Turks's Cengiz Bozbey managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 64th minute of the match, Wilfredo Eneko got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cengiz Bozbey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 70 minutes in the game Gino Araújo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Des Bancroft. 83 minutes into the match, Lions Of Turks's goalkeeper Cengiz Bozbey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Eneko. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ed Sills in the 85th minute of play forced Lions Of Turks's goalkeeper Cengiz Bozbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Des Bancroft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lions Of Turks fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC LIVERPOOL were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
